Why Grassroot Communities?

Grassroots communities in Nigeria serve as the epicenter of societal challenges and vulnerabilities, especially for women and youth. Nigeria, being a country marked by socio-economic disparities, political instability, and cultural complexities, places immense strains on its grassroots populations. Within these communities, women and children often bear the brunt of these challenges, facing systemic inequalities, limited access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, and heightened risks of exploitation and abuse.

The decision to focus on grassroots communities is rooted in our recognition that these are the places where the impact of societal issues is most deeply felt and where interventions can yield the greatest transformative change. By empowering women and youth at the grassroots level, Glory Ifezue Foundation aims to address the systemic barriers that perpetuate cycles of poverty, inequality, and vulnerability.
